You're 5 months old today, baby girl.

You've done so much good and we're so incredibly proud of you.

You're way beyond rolling over or sitting up; you're changing lives.

Because of our sweet girl, so much good is happening; Norah won't let something as small as death stop her from showing the world how awesome she is.

I thought there was no way we could fall more in love with our daughter and each other every single day — our broken hearts reshaping around our new family, part of which is in heaven.

And then we did.

365 days ago you came into our existence in a moment that filled us with a holy mix of fear, hope, and nervous excitement.

We had no idea what our lives were going to look like, we just knew that this was BIG. 

And you know what? We weren't wrong.

Before Norah was born, we were given a tour of both the NICU and the Ronald McDonald House. Being naively optimistic, we approached both from the perspective of, "Thanks for showing us, but those are for other people."

Turns out, we were the 'other people'.
